The Graduate

Thats right folks, after 12 long years I finally got a degree; the equivalent of 2 years of college no less. I'm not that good at math, but I'm pretty sure thats somewhere near seven years for every one year of college credit.

Greetings from Virginia

It's a lovely foggy morning here in Virginia, although it is supposed to be oppressively hot later today and for the rest of the weekend. This picture was taken early this morning from our deck in our new home. The deck is right off of the kitchen, and above our backyard. On the other side of the trees in the foreground is Lake Montclair.

With some help from Eric's parents, we successfully completed the move from NYC last weekend; Eric and the poopers and I are now officially Virginia residents. I completed my clerkship one week ago in NYC, and am now unemployed until I start my fellowship in January. Eric finished his degree a couple of weeks ago in NYC, and he is now working in D.C., right next to the U.S. Capitol Building.

We're settling in to our new digs pretty well. The one who is having the most trouble is our sensitive lil' Blue. He didn't eat much for a few days and, while Eric was at work, Blue wouldn't allow me to be more than two feet away from him at any given time -- he even followed me into the bathroom. Kiwi, on the other hand, is doing just fine. She claimed ownership of the new place as soon as we arrived. Of course.
